Web 3.0 is a term that is used to describe many evolutions of web usage and interaction among several paths. It is the new iteration of the Web based blockchain technology. Amongst other differences between web2 and web3, decentralization is at its core.
Web3 applications run on blockchains or decentralized networks, These apps are often referred to as dapps (decentralized apps), and you will see that term used often in the web3 space.
